Born and bred in Gisborne, Max qualified as a diesel Mechanic then spent several years overseas in the open cast mines in Australia as a heavy engineering Maintenance Engineer. Returning home he started Endeavour Sheetmetals Ltd in 1978. He acquired Gisborne Engineering in 1991. The acquisition gave him a much larger workshop for the sheetmetal side and also allowed him to gain the benefit of a great depth of engineering skills from a good strong team. An expansion in 1995 -98 doubled the business service area and in 2001 implemented a progressive policy to update vital machinery & plant which has left the company in good stead to face the 21st century. |

Rendall holds trade certs in sheetmetal engineering, refrigeration and air conditioning as well as holding a limited electrical ticket classes A & B He started with Endeavour Sheetmetals as an apprentice, and then with Gisborne Engineering before leaving in 2002 to join a local refrigeration and air conditioning firm where he gained qualifications in this trade as well as the electrical aspect. He rejoined the company in 2008 as sheetmetal supervisor |
